The Mira Road Baptist Church adores its existence since 1999 August when a missionary from Indian Evangelical Mission (I.E.M) Rev. Marson Khumlo and his family came over to Mira Road. .

Beginning with a small family gathering at St. Xaviers High School (Shanti Park Mira Road), it has now expanded to a congregation of 120 members comprising of 95% North - East youths and 5 % family members.

Adhering to the Word of God it stands against all heresies like Jehovah Witness, Idol Worship, Speaking of Tongues, and the Seventh Day Adventist which are rampant in Mira Road. Girded with the Truth, washed in the precious blood of Jesus, she prepares to present herself spotless and blameless as the bride of Christ (2 Co 11:2); feet shod with the Gospel, holding the shield of faith and the sword, we press on awaiting that glorious event the "Rapture": when the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven for those who believe in His salvation alone and for those who are walking in His Word.

For Jesus Christ said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven; but He that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.....And I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23)

We are unique and precious in the sight of God for He has bought us

with the precious blood of Jesus and nothing can separate us from His Love.

Financial: It is self -supportive with no external source of funds.

Worship Service: Sundays -10.00 am -_12.00 pm.

Venue: St. Xaviers High School's Stage.

Shanti Park Mira Road.

Prayer Meeting: Wednesday-7.00 pm-8.30pm./ Monday-7.00 pm-9.00 pm

Youth Service: Bible studies are held for youths on Saturdays from 7.00 pm-8.30 pm.

Women's Fellowship: Fridays 7.00pm onwards.

Bible Study: Tuesday & Thursday - 7.00 pm.

Jesus said 'I am not come to destroy but to fulfill'. (Matthew 5:17)

Scripture Reading: Matthew 21:1-13.The prophecy of Zechariah 9:9 is fulfilled in Jesus, on Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.

After this event Jesus went to the garden of Gethsemane to pray. His words to His disciples, speaks to us today. 'Pray that you enter not into temptation'. Why do you sleep? Pray!

Are we engaged in activities, that dim our vision of God's plans for our lives, or dull our hearing of His gentle voice? Let us not sleep but pray.

Women hold an exceptional role, no human on earth can replace it. How much have we done to preserve it? When God created man and woman He blessed them and said 'Be fruitful and multiply' ( Genesis 1:28). God ordained this sacred unit in the Garden of Eden and blessed it.

The resolution for the celebration of Mother's Day, was signed by the U.S President Woodrow Wilson on 9th May 1910. Women have a significant role to play, at home - a mother, a wife, a friend, a servant, a handmaid and many more, as such the mother's role is outstanding, a God given task that requires patience, perseverance, a prayerful life and a sacrificial giving.

God honored Mothers, and this we see in His command to children, "Honor your mother' and to the husbands, 'Honor your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church and gave himself for it'.Jesus on the cross, though in His agony, charged Apostle John to look after His mother.

The Book of Luke is richly illustrated with women, mothers, widows, where Jesus Himself honored them and wept for them. Mothers,Jesus loves you, you are not alone in your toil, for God doth love your children so dearly, that He has placed the attributes of love, and perseverance in the heart of a mother, to carry out His plans in their lives. Hebrews 12:1,2 says we are surrounded with a great cloud of witnesses...let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

William Blake in his poem "The Little Black Boy' pictures the beauty of the child's mother who took him on her lap, kissed him,and pointing to the East would tell him of God's dwelling from where He sends light and heat for the flowers, trees, beasts and man. Man is put on this earth ,a little space to learn the beams of love and is just a passing cloud, which would vanish when our lessons are learned and God calls us to glory to rejoice around His throne.

Dear Mothers, there is much to accomplish, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and NEVER GIVE UP. 'In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength'( Isaiah 30:15).

Mira Road Baptist Church Prays for all the students appearing for the various exams for 2011:

Father in Heaven, we pray for all the students who have appeared for the various entrance exams.Lord may your grace rest upon them, and your loving arms protect them from taking any devastating steps. We seek your face with tears, Lord may your angels guide them to success. Father we pray especially for those who have faced failure, Lord Jesus enfold them in your arms, and by your grace you will lift them to stand on higher ground.

Thank you Lord Jesus, we know you have heard our prayer for we pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Do Not Give Up Jesus Loves you, He will strengthen you!

Apostasy is serious. Jude gives examples of how God dealt seriously with Israel, with the angels that fell, and with Sodom and Gomorrah; but God is now dealing with apostasy more seriously than He ever was, because it is a rejection of Jesus Christ. God is no respecter of persons. He didn’t respect His own people who were unbelieving. He destroyed them He didn’t respect His own angels who were apostate; He incarcerated them. He didn’t respect Sodom and Gomorrah who knew the truth He wiped them out.

Jude reminds them of these Biblical truths and warns them of God’s Judgment on such apostates. He further states example of Cain, Baalam, Cove (Korah Num16:1-35) with his pronunciation of “Woe” unto them. Such men can have but one destiny. For them has been reserved the gloom of darkness for ever.

We see apostasy infiltrating not only the churches, but also the Christian nation. It is alarming and we ought to get down on our knees and pray before this massive calamity utterly shakes up the Christian faith.

Children you are special to God and to your family.A crown without a Gem has no beauty in it. Likewise a child without obedience to God's Word and the instructions of the righteous man is lacking in beauty. Remember to put on the New Man the beauty of Jesus Christ and to put off the Old Man the sinful habits. Ephesians chapter 4.
